A major problem with the location of the surgery is the lack of car parking facilities. It may be that a solution could be found in an arrangement with a local supermarket (Waitrose) that has extensive car parking which might even be beneficial to them. An appropriate windscreen sticker would suffice.

When I was still able to attend the surgery it was always clean and well appointed. The reception staff are always polite and helpful and I fell completely confident in asking them to pass on a message to my doctor. I use the electronic drug ordering system and have always found the prescription clerks to be helpful and efficient. I would have no hesitation in recommending either Dr McWilliams and New Dover Road surgery (and have on 2 occasions) because in every aspect of their work, care of me (the patient) is central and all are willing to "go the extra mile"

My family, including my children and grandchildren, are all registered with this practice. We started with this surgery in 1971 and have never had reason to regret it. The doctors are kind as well as being ready to listen to patients and to do the best they can for them. I am especially impressed with the fact that you can always see a GP if you are concerned about your baby or toddler on the day tht you phone. The receptionists always ask if your problem is urgent and I have never not been able to see a doctor if I really need to do so. The nurses are also excellent and have been wonderful when my mother needed care and attention. Home visits are still made when needed and I cannot recommend this surgery highly enough. I feel very fortunate to have such confidence in my surgery.

An truly excellent team of doctors, and staff. A clean, pleasant, and friendly place that offers great care and support. How all surgeries should be. Wonderful.
